Alex Iwobi scored his first BPL goal against Everton

Teenage sensation, Alex Iwobi scored his first senior goal for Arsenal as Arsene Wenger’s men bounced back from a disastrous week to maintain their faint hopes of a late Premier League title challenge. The 19-year-old Nigeria international showed tremendous composure to score the visitor’s second shortly before half-time after Danny Welbeck had broken the deadlock early with his fourth goal in nine games.

After crashing out of the FA Cup and Champions League in the preceding seven days, it was an impressive statement of intent from Arsenal even though they still trail Leicester City and Tottenham in the table.
The Nigeria international finished off a swift counter attack by Arsenal, firing through the legs of Joel Robles, who raced off his line to try and salvage the situation.

Few minutes later, the attacking midfielder, who was not lacking confidence, would have grabbed his second senior goal but his effort drifted past the post. The 19-year-old Alex Iwobi was replaced by Calum Chambers in the 86th minute of the contest.
