Keane's 5-goal Man Utd haul still can't match Denny Graham's 6

Manchester United striker Will Keane's five goals for the U21s against Norwich wasn't enough to break a club record.

The centre-forward also had a couple of late openings snuffed out by the overworked Canaries defence.

It meant Keane was unable to level Deiniol Graham's six strikes for the A team in an 8-2 Lancashire League Division One mauling of Marine back in 1990. Nonetheless, he joins four others who have hit a quintet in a single match for United's younger teams since the start of former boss Sir Alex Ferguson's reign in 1986.

James Wilson, currently on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion, achieved the feat as a 16-year-old away to Newcastle United Under-18s in 2012, matching the haul of Danny Webber, Joe Roberts and Mark Robins.

In terms of Keane's personal record, it was the sixth time he has scored at least three goals in a single game for the club at Under-18 age level or above.
