Man doesn’t regret making girlfriend walk through streets in towel as punishment

A man who has appeared in court after forcing his girlfriend to walk down a New York street in just a towel remains defiant over his actions.

Jason Melo, 24, was arrested after he filmed the humiliation and posted it online.

Prosecutors claim he previously struck his 22-year-old girlfriend before the row in Harlem on an early Sunday morning.

After a court hearing, a New York Post reporter asked Jason Melo, 22, whether he regretted demeaning the mother of his child. He is reported to have replied: ‘She shouldn’t have done what she did.’

Melo is believed to have carried out the act as punishment after his girlfriend sexted seven other men.
He walks behind her calling her a ‘b****’ and ‘whore’.

Speaking in Spanish he says: ‘Take off your towel. Co-operate, b****. Show what you are, so pretty and so great. She’s a tart. Let’s go. Let’s go. Say hi to the camera and say why you’re doing this.’

He faces charges of assault, menacing and endangering the welfare of a child.

Melo’s next court appearance is March 16.
