Marouane Fellaini helping ‘shy’ Anthony Martial settle in Manchester

Manchester United striker Anthony Martial has revealed that team-mate Marouane Fellaini has helped him settle in the city.

Martial made his mega-money move from to Old Trafford from Monaco in a shock deadline day deal in the summer and, having admitted to being a shy person, is settling well with life in England.
The 20-year-old France striker has been the shining light for Louis van Gaal’s side in what has been a difficult first half of the season, scoring six goals in his 19 Premier League appearances which includes a brilliant striker against Liverpool on his debut.
Despite the hype and excitement around Martial, the striker himself has admitted to being quite a shy and reserved person away from the pitch as Fellaini continues to help him settle in the north of England
‘I’m quite a reserved person, a bit shy at first when I don’t know someone,’ Martial told Inside United. ‘I like to have a laugh and a joke, people have seen that in me. But, yes, I’m fairly quiet and I love spending time with my family.

‘What do I do away from football? Go out for walks, go out to a restaurant. Marouane [Fellaini] has given me loads of restaurants to visit! I’ve tried them and then chosen the best ones.
‘The weather here is quite a lot different to Monaco and the food is not quite the same. But it’s down to me to adapt to the country I have chosen to come to. And currently it’s all going well.
‘I’m here with my partner and I’ve got a little girl.
‘The club have helped me a lot in this area so now I’m really settled in where I live – although now it’s a little more difficult to go out as people recognise me more. Maybe I should put on a baseball cap.
‘So I prefer to stay in at home more. But, yes, I feel like I’ve settled in well to life here.’
